Celebrity Proposals - Doing it in Style!

From custom built igloos to fireworks and pit-boards, we thought we'd revisit some of the most memorable celebrity proposals...

Will Smith & Jada Pinkett-Smith

Will Smith kept it simple when he popped the question: "We were just lying there, going to sleep. I looked over at her and I said, "Hey we might be real good married. Wassup?? You wanna marry me?" Unplanned. No ring. Not the classic proposal. She said yes. It's really weird when you live the kind of lifestyle that we live. Simplicity becomes the jewel."

Heidi Klum & Seal
Seal took Heidi by Helicopter, 15,000 feet into the Canadian Rockies, where he'd had an igloo built, complete with a bed, rose petals and candles. We can only hope that he then broke into a private rendition of Kiss from a Rose - which would make it the world's greatest proposal.

Courtney Cox & David Arquette

Arquette proposed on a beach in Florida, and arranged for fireworks to go off at the precise moment he asked Friend's actress Courtney Cox to marry him. As lovely as that is, it doesn't touch on Monica's proposal to Chandler, right?

Prince William & Kate Middleton

Wills proposed to Kate whilst on a 10 day Safari in Africa, Kate told reporters in 2010 that "It was very romantic."

Pink & Carey Hart

Pink proposed to her motorcycle racer boyfriend during one of his races in Mammoth Lakes. She held up a pit-board with the words 'Will you marry me?', but when Carey didn't stop, Pink changed the words to 'I'm Serious!' At which point he pulled out of the race and picked her up, ahh!!

Kanye West & Kim Kardashian

As extravagant as ever, Kanye hired out San Fransisco's AT&T Park and proposed with a 15-carat Lorraine Schwarz diamond ring in front of Kim's friends and family. The Jumbotron flashed the words "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!", and an orchestra played Lana Del Ray's Young and Beautiful.

Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves

Proposing to his long-time girlfriend on Christmas Day, McConaughey wrapped the engagement ring in eight different boxes; when Camila finally got to the last box he got down on one knee and said, "Will you marry me and take my name?"

Talking on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, McConaughey recalled that after asking the question, "the first words out of her mouth were not yes. No. There was not a yes, I'm not gonna say what it was, but I was like, "I'm down on one knee and I'll stay here awhile, I'll outlast you...she conceded."

Ben Stiller & Christine Taylor

The Zoolander star snuck into his girlfriend's house whilst she was away and decorated it with rose petals and candles. On her return he got down on one knee and proposed!
